A quarantine summer

Updated: Jun 3, 2020

6 April - 19 April Unfortunately, the lockdown restrictions show no sign of being lifted anytime soon. Luckily, the weather has been quite nice so far so we can sit outside in the garden and enjoy the sun. To find something to do, I decided to take a walk down to Bognor beach to see what it is like. This was a very good idea. Being out of the house for just an hour to go for a walk is a great way to clear your head and have a change of scenery. One evening, we fought the boredom by trying out a few random couple's yoga poses we found on Google. This lighted the mood considerably, we had a good laugh and a few drinks together before heading to bed. At some point during the week, I was asked by Cathy if I was willing to help home-school the boys for a few days a week. Even though we are advised to stay indoors. I decided to accept the offer and head up to London for three days a week. This way, I have something to do during the week, and I can help Cathy and Trigga by taking the boys of their hands for a bit. Home-schooling turned out to be fun and tiring at the same time. The boys are quite energetic and like to run around a lot, which quickly drains me of energy. But it's also really fun to help the boys do their homework and to teach them a thing or two in English even though it is not my native language. (I have to say, that feels pretty good!) It is nice to be able to be with the family again for some days. Here's to hoping the schools will reopen soon, so we can return to normal.
