4 May - 17 May
Home-schooling has been great so far. We're doing our best to work and have fun at the same time. I'm enjoying the time I get to spend with the family and Remi. However, I'm buzzing to return to the school and help out again. Unfortunately, Boris Johnson has announced that only reception, year one and year six will be returning to school. The schools not fully reopening means that I won't be going back anytime soon.
Despite that, I'm still trying to make the most of my time here. In the mornings, the boys and I work hard on their assignments. And during the afternoon, we do all sorts of activities and we try to make them educational. Because the weather is still so nice, we went paddleboarding on the River Thames. Being on the water in weather this nice, is lovely.
The 10th of May was Mother's day in The Netherlands. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go and see my mum, but I made sure she got some nice flowers and a card to show my appreciation.
To stay active and keep me busy, I decided to set myself a challenge. In 31 days, I aim to be able to do the full splits. A bit of a tough goal, but an interesting challenge anyway.
Time seems to fly by and move slowly at the same time. I am grateful for all the things I get to do while being in England and I'm enjoying every day.
