23 March - 5 April
These two weeks were sadly not that exciting. Because of the global pandemic, Covid-19, there isn't much to do apart from staying indoors. Here in the UK, there have been thousands of reported cases and deaths already. The NHS is working overtime to be able to help all those that need it. The people here in the UK have collectively decided to show their support for the NHS by clapping for them every Thursday-night at eight o'clock and by putting drawings and paintings of rainbows up on their windows.
For me, life is starting to get a bit monotonous. Luckily, the weather has been improving, allowing me to sit outside in the garden and enjoy the sun. When the weather isn't that nice, I spend the day inside doing small chores or working on my Uni assignments. Because Remi works from 9 to 5 during the week, the weekends are reserved for relaxing and fun activities. To fight the boredom of being in the house all the time, we decided to start baking, which turned out to be a brilliant idea because the things we made taste delicious.
On the 3rd of April I called my mum to wish her a happy birthday. I had planned to be home for her birthday, but unfortunately my flight got cancelled.
Hopefully, this will all be over soon, so I can come back to Thames Ditton and continue my internship at Thames Ditton Junior School.
